School Traditions
Worship Services
Johannines experience two meaningful worship services – One at the Move-in Day and one at the Move-out Day. These prayerful ceremonies provide you with a meaningful way to welcome everyone and the move out worship ceremony is to reflect on all that God has done in your life throughout the year
Swachh Bharath Abhiyan-Service to Humanity
The place or a part I live is my portion of India. Hence, keeping my portion of India clean will lead to keeping clean entire India; and the vision of SWACHH BHARAT will be achieved. The students are motivated through this, a sense of clean India. Children are not workers but they are enabled to do the voluntary service according to their own capacity so that they are taught to render service to humanity.
Johannine Day
Johannine Day is a really big tradition at St. John’s and It’s no wonder enhances a healthy individual and a section-wise competitive spirit among the Johannines. It begins as a class wise competition and the 2 winners from each class will be selected to section wise competition at the first stage. At the second stage from among the winners, the entire block will select the best one to compete at the institutional level and at the third stage the competition will be held among the selected single winner of the blocks and the final single winner in the institution will be the ‘BEST JOHANNINECHAMPION OF THE YEAR’. There will be six such champions of different events. Johannines who excel in sports and academics will also be awarded the ‘BEST JOHANNINE CHAMPION OF THE YEAR’. Go Johannines!
Personality Development Programs
The students have to be motivated to become the best citizens of our country. Hence we have the responsibility to mould and empower them to become future leaders. Each and every member of the institution strives at this goal. Students have to be more human than educated persons. They need to inculcate in them the habits of respecting their parents, elders and above all every human being. Thus we train them to respect the nation. We give orientation sessions towards this aim.
ENVIRONMENTAL SENSITIVITY
Global warming has made the globe to burn with heat. As a consequence seasons have changed. The rain has become scarce. The backbone of the society the farmers have started loosing their hopes. In this line of thought we would like to train our students to ‘GO GREEN’ with motivational classes. We give them a chance to grow greenery. Grow with green nature so that their mind is set to save environment.
