Learning goes beyond the four walls of the classroom and this is the principle we cherish. Along with a holistic and comprehensive curriculum, extracurricular activities have an important role in the balanced development of a child. Our students respond admirably with enthusiasm, energy, and involvement in various activities.

Activities

Besides academics, co-curricular and extra co-curricular activities play an instrumental role in shaping and making overall growth and development of the human mind. No doubt, one should primarily focus on academic activities to learn and excel the scholarly qualities.

If an institution does not promote the extra-curricular and co-curricular activities in the proper direction, students might probably go into a situation where they will find chaos with no fruitful outcome. Therefore, SJEI organizes various inter-class activities and competitions. The school promotes multi-dimensional activities and competitions that include – Elections, debates, slogan writing, creative writing, recitation, story narration, quiz, best out of waste, drawing, rangoli making, fancy dress, role play, dramatics, Indian and Western music, and dance and sports.

Sports

Physical fitness is one of the most important elements of leading a healthy life. Physical education promotes the importance of inclusion of a regular fitness activity in the routine. This helps the students to maintain their fitness, develop their muscular strength, increase their stamina and thus stretch their physical abilities to an optimum level. Sports help inculcate discipline, self-confidence, team spirit, sense of belonging, pride, achievement, and self-esteem. Students also understand that victory and defeat is an ongoing process.

At SJEI, we lay a strong emphasis on sports and physical development. Our sports curriculum is planned and designed for students to develop and enhance skills like strength, speed, endurance, agility, flexibility, control, balance, etc.
